Conditions: 77 degrees f, sunny, target azimuth 180deg. wind: 1/4 value 7:30 at 600 yards, full value wind 4:00 at 1200-1600. no wind flags were present on the range, only a bravo flag at 600 yards. wind was determined using mirage, leaves/grass movement, and other natural indicators.
Pictured is the actual Target, an F class 1000 yard 1/2MOA target, (1/4 MOA at 2000 yards). The discs show the impact of each shot at the distance indicated, and the best shot placement out of 5 shots fired at each yardage. no sighters were allowed. Jeff impacted the X ring at 1700 and 1800 yards and the 9 ring at 1900 and 2000 yards.
Jeff used the sierra matchking 220gr fired from a 300 Remington Ultra Mag. Jeff is also the winner of the inaugural 2012 Longest Shot Match (1600 yards) using the same cartridge, and last year's Indiana State Long Range Season Champion at 1000 yards shooting in F Class open.
bill Stumpner (top L) pulled and scored jeff's record setting target. Bill has shot out to a Mile in our previous longest shot match and was tied for first place with Jeff Golay in our F class open classification in the june 2013 longest shot match. Bill used a .300 Win Mag with the SMK 220 bullet.
Terry Farley(bottom r) pulled and scored targets in the pit with bill stumpner. Terry is also the June 2013 Longest shot match winner in F/tr class, hitting the target at 1400 yards with his fn a3g .308, using the Hornady 178gr HPBT.
above Terry Farley is Jim Crabtree, the scorer/verifier on the line. Jim won the December 2012 longest shot match, hitting the target at 1700 yards with his 142 grain SMK 6.5 mm fired from a 6.5/06 Ackley Improved.

for all events: Sign up is from 0800 to 0840 in the parking lot across from Range Control, unless otherwise noted. please print and fill out the match release form and registration form and bring them with you - this will help the sign up process to move swiftly. Match fees are $25 for CIHPRS/ISRPA members, and $30 for non-members. cash only please.
IMPORTANT: We MUST have your name, address, date of birth, and rifle type, caliber and serial number for the Atterbury Gate Access Roster. email your information to sue mogle no later than Tuesday evening of match weekends. This must be done once per season. This is a Department of the Army requirement to bring civilian weapons on base in the event of loss or theft. Please don't complain to us about this - it's a requirement to shoot on Camp Atterbury.
