CIHPRS/ISRPA Team Training

Indiana State Regional HighPower Rifle Training 2007 Wildcat Valley Rifle and Pistol Club, Lafayette, IN The first real meeting of this training session took place on Saturday, March 17th, and was attended by 9 shooters. Weather was cold, but we completed the classroom portion in about 2 hours, then moved to the range for Standing Drills. Training was completed by 12:30. The next session is scheduled for Saturday, April 21, 2007 at Wildcat Valley at 8:00 AM. This session will incorporate classroom discussions as well as range firing. Be sure to bring note-taking stuff, and all match gear, rifle and ammo. If possible, please bring your recent scores from matches. Weíll start in the clubhouse at 8:00 AM. Fee for the season-long training will be $20 per person, regardless of how many sessions you attend. This will offset supplies and costs at Wildcat. Classroom discussions will include Stage 2: Vision; Aiming; Loads and Reloading; A study of Variables Range work will include More of the Standing Blind drills, working on stamina and position basics for offhand. Rapid Fire 2+1 Sitting Drill, working on sitting rapid follow-through and mag changes while keeping all variables controlled.
